About the Department

  • The Department of English is run and supported by 3 highly qualified and diligent faculty.
  • The Department organizes various activities for enhancing students' English Language skills in all the four modules i.e., Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing (LSRW), by conducting Elocution, Debate, Essay writing competitions, and role plays.
  • The department meets the English Language needs of the students at the undergraduate level and also prepares them to get placed in reputed organizations by teaching interview skills, Resume writing and conducting Mock interviews.

T.Jaya Lakshmi is a faculty in English department. She had qualified T.S SET in 2014.She has completed her Masters degree in English from Osmania University, qualified TS State Eligibility Test in 2014 and also completed B.Ed. from IASE ,Osmania university. She has overall experience of teaching in English for 4 years at the undergraduate level.She had teaching experience of 2 years in Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree college for Women, Medak, she had experience of 9 months 15 days as TGT English (Regular) in Mahatma Jothiba Phule Telangana Backward Classes Welfare Residential school(Girls),Secunderabad and She has been teaching English from past 2 years in this institution.

Mrs. J. Deepthi

Deepthi J is a Degree Lecturer in English at MJPTBCWRDC, Wargal, where she has been serving since September 2024. She holds a Master’s degree in English from Osmania University (2019) and a Bachelor of Education (2022). She qualified the Telangana State Eligibility Test (TS-SET) in 2019. Deepthi began her teaching career at Kasturba Gandhi Degree and PG College (2019–2021) and later served as guest faculty at Women’s Degree College, Begumpet (2021–2022), before rejoining Kasturba Gandhi College in 2022. Her academic contributions include conducting a Film and Literature project under the guidance of Dr. K.W. Christopher at Osmania University in 2019. Additionally, she delivered a 24-day workshop on QA/QC for Hetero Drugs Ltd employees in the same year. Deepthi has trained professionals and Pharma graduates in QA/QC documentation, functional skills, and business communication. Her areas of expertise include functional skills training for Pharma graduates, business communication and documentation, teaching English literature and linguistics, and research in Film and Literature. With her diverse experience and dedication to teaching, Deepthi continues to contribute significantly to the field of English education and professional training.

  • Telugu is a primary language spoken in the state of Telangana. The Department of Telugu has been providing language learning skills for the students. This department is being run with two faculty members.

Dr.K.Lavanya

Dr. K. Lavanya, Degree Lecturer in Telugu, qualified UGC-NET in 2015 and secured UGC-JRF and NET in 2017. She also qualified TS-SET in 2017. She she completed her Ph.D. from the University of Hyderabad in 2019 and has three years of research experience. Additionally, she has published three research papers and has two years of teaching experience. Dr. Lavanya also attended various national seminars.

Mrs. Mrunalini

Mrs. A. Mrunalini is a faculty member in the Telugu Department. She qualified for NET and TS-SET in 2018 and completed her M.A. in Telugu at Degree and PG College, Gajwel, affiliated with Osmania University. She also completed her D.Ed in 2015 and B.Ed in 2021, qualifying for TET in 2018. With six years of teaching experience at Gajwel Men’s and Women’s Degree Colleges, she is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at Osmania University under the supervision of Dr. V. Nityanandarao, focusing on the topic "Srimath Sitha Ramayanam - Samagra Parisheelana." Recently, she qualified for five Gurukula positions (TGT, PGT, JL, DL, and TGT in Social Studies) and has chosen to serve as a Degree Lecturer (DL) in Telugu.

Mrs. Swathi Mahankali

Swathi, Degree Lecturer (DL) in Telugu, had completed her M.A. in Telugu in 2018 from B.R. Ambedkar Open University and had qualified TS-SET in the same year. She is currently pursuing Ph.D. from Telangana University, and completed her coursework and cleared the pre-Ph.D. examination. Her articles had been published in UGC CARE-listed journals, particularly on Musi Parika. She had attended national seminars and conferences, and her primary area of interest is Telugu poetry.
