About the department:
The Department of Computer Science is supported by dedicated, well qualified and experienced faculty. Department has a well established laboratory with 83 computers. The Department organizes various activities for enhancing students' computer skills.

Worked as Associate Professor in Information Technology Department, MVSR Engineering College, Hyderabad (2017-19) two years. B. Anitha She pursued her M.C.A(Master of Computer Applications) 2011 from Kakatiya University, Warangal. Currently pursuing Ph.D(Computer Science) at KU in the field of Machine Learning. She has qualified entrance exams like UGC- NET (2022) and TS-SET (2023). She worked as a Degree lecturer in Govt. Degree college. She has 10 years of experience in teaching.

Ch.Anitha Worked as an Assistant professor(C) at School of Information Technology , Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (2019-2024). She worked as an Assistant Professor in the department of Computer Science and Engineering at DRK college of engineering and technology, Hyderabad(2017-2019). She has 8 years of experience in teaching. She pursued her M.Tech in Computer Science in 2015 from School of information technology, JNTU Hyderabad. She received her B.Tech degree in Computer Science and Engineering from DRK institute of science and technology. Currently pursuing Ph.D(CS) at JNTUH in the field of Deep learning. She has qualified in national level entrance exams like UGC- NET (2018), GATE (2012, 2013, 2021). Her areas of interest are Machine learning, Deep reinforcement learning. Published about 6 papers in National journals.

Department Of Chemistry

About the department
There are two Laboratories well equipped with the necessary instruments/infrastructure to perform experiments in Analytical, Inorganic, Organic, and Physical Chemistry. All the graduation students are comfortably accommodated in these laboratories. The Department is well equipped with the necessary infrastructure and sophisticated instruments like Colorimetry, Conductometry, pH metry, Potentiometry, etc.

Dr Radha Velchuri

Dr. Radha Velchuri is a Degree Lecturer in Chemistry. She has been awarded Ph.D Chemistry from the Osmania University in the year 2012 for the topic “Metathesis Synthesis and Spectral Characterization of Borates and Phosphates”. To her credit she had published 44 papers in Peer reviewed International and National Journals indexed in SCI and attended about 10 conferences in India. Her areas of research specialization are Synthesis of Nanomaterials and bulk materials, characterization, Photoluminescence, Photoactivity, etc. HONORS AND AWARDS : ● Fast Track Young Scientist, DST (Department of Science & Technology), New Delhi, 2014. ● Senior Research Fellow, CSIR (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research), New Delhi, Govt. of India, 2011. ● Received a Gold medal for standing first in M.Sc Physical Chemistry in 2006. Dr. B, Soni Veena is a Degree Lecturer in Botany, Department of Botany, MJPTBCW Residential Degree College for Women-Wargal. She has received B.Sc., B.Ed. and M.Sc. from Osmania University, Hyderabad. She had qualified for the SET in 2014 for Botany and pursued Ph.D. from the Department of Botany, Osmania University for the topic “Isolation and phytochemical analysis of bio-active compounds from some endemic plants”. Till now she has published about 8 research papers in reputed National and International journals. She has attended four National Seminars and Conferences. She has overall experience of teaching in Botany for 4 years at the undergraduate level. Dr. B. S. Veena organized One day Workshop on “Plant Biotechnology in Human Welfare” and plantation of herbal garden at MJPTBC Residential Degree College for Women-Wargal. She served as Deputy Warden for the academic year 2020-21 at MJPTBC Residential Degree College for Women-Wargal.

Mrs. CH. Ratnakala is a faculty member in the Department of Botany. She Holds Master's degree in Botany and Bachelor of Education from Osmania University. She has five years of teaching experience. She has attended National seminars. After completing graduation, student can go for higher courses like M.Sc. (Botany), M.Sc.(Bio-technology), M.Sc.(Bio-Chemistry), M.Sc.(Micro Biology) and M.Sc.(Genetics). Amongst the careers available to a person who enjoys outdoors are positions as an ecologist, taxonomist, conservationist, and forester. Person with mathematical background might find biophysics, genetics, and developmental biology to be exciting fields. Someone with an interest in chemistry might become a plant physiologist, plant biochemist, molecular biologist or chemo taxonomist. Student can also choose biotechnology, microbiology, mycology and phycology. Student can also option for ornamental horticulture and landscape design. Student can obtain specialization in plant breeding, plant pathology, agronomy and horticulture. Teaching botany is challenging and rewarding career. Some botanist work in marketing or administration of plant related industries such as pharmaceutical companies, seed companies, biotechnology firms, scientific publishers and biological supply houses. Other plant biologists work in museums, herbaria and botanical gardens. Some with additional training become scientific writers, computer programmers and botanical illustrators.

About the department
The Department of Zoology was established in the year 2015. The faculty members from the Department of Zoology are highly qualified, knowledgeable, experienced, dedicated and skilled. We are motivated to impart best teaching methodology to emphasise on basic and applied fields of zoology aided with demo, models, videos, wet laboratory having equipment such as, Compound Microscopes, Water Bath, Dissecting Microscope etc. The academy is structured to make learning beyond the classroom and also arranges various Seminars, Guest lectures, Field visits and Outreach programs.

Objectives
● To provide students with knowledge of fundamental principles in zoology that will provide a foundation for their later advanced course in more specific biological subjects.

Mrs. Pratibha Biswas is a Degree Lecturer in Zoology, Department of Zoology, and MJPTBCW Residential Degree College for Women-Wargal. She had qualified for the CSIR-UGC NET in 2013. She has qualified GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering2012) conducted by IISC, Bangalore. She was awarded with University SC/ST Medal as secured first rank among the SC/ST students (2013). She has completed her post graduation degree in Animal Sciences from University Of Hyderabad and also completed B.Ed. from Osmania University. She has overall 3 years experience of teaching in Zoology at the undergraduate level. She has teaching experience of 2 years in Telangana residential school & junior college (Boys), madnoor as post-graduate teacher (PGT). She has attended the national symposium on “biology of infection, immunity and disease control in pathogen-Plant Interaction.”2011. The Department of Biochemistry was started in the year 2019 with one faculty and strength of 36 students. From then onwards it has slowly and steadily picked up and presently it has a strength of 74 students. The Biochemistry Laboratory is well equipped and creates the ambience required for attaining hands-on experience in gaining the experimental skills. The Department rests on a strong system having an application-oriented approach utilizing the infrastructure to learn techniques. Mrs. M.Usha is a Lecturer in the Department of Biochemistry. She holds a Masters Degree with distinction from Osmania University and B.Ed from Nagarjuna University. She has qualified CSIR-UGC NET. She has 15 years of teaching experience at graduate and post graduate level. She has two papers published to her credit in UGC recognized National and indexed International Journals. She is specialized in the areas of Molecular Biology, and Biochemical Techniques. She has expertise in training students in laboratory work. R. Suma, M.A., B.Ed., SET, is a dedicated faculty member in the History department. She completed her post-graduation from Osmania University and successfully qualified for the SET exam. Joining the MJPTBCWREIS Society in 2019, she worked as a Junior Lecturer at Jagadevpur in Wargal for five years. On July 6, 2024, she was promoted to the position of Degree Lecturer (DL) and is currently serving at MJPTBCWRDC, Wargal. As part of her departmental activities, R. Suma recently coordinated the celebration of Chakali Ailamma Jayanthi Utsavam on September 26, 2024, at MJPTBCWRDC, Wargal. This event honored Chakali Ailamma, a notable peasant freedom fighter from Telangana, for her role in the Telangana Peasant Armed Struggle. The program included various engaging activities: students performed role plays vividly portraying significant moments from Chakali Ailamma’s life, emphasizing her contributions to the Telangana movement. Faculty members delivered insightful speeches, highlighting her courage, resilience, and impact on the region’s history. Additionally, students showcased cultural performances and skits to bring her inspiring story to life. Through such events, R. About the department:
The political science department for UG Course was established in 2015. Political Science is a fast growing social science. It is extremely necessary for every citizen to get acquainted with the political process of the country. Since Indian Society has very marginal political development, particularly the women section of the society is lagging behind in this context. So the college has opted Political Science as an optional subject with the intention that it will helpful for the women section of the society particularly minorities and poor section, who have very minimal exposure to the political process as they are totally ignorant of political life. Since then the department has been rendering its service for UG courses. The department offers instructions in English media. Since its inception the department has been rendering remarkable service and witnessing great change in the political understanding and political behavior of the students.

• To bring electoral literacy awareness among the students

Dr. A.K.Chandana

Dr. A. K.Chandana is a senior faculty member in the Department of Political Science. She holds a Master’s Degree in Political Science from Osmania University, passed TS State Eligibility Test in the year 2013 and also B.Ed from Osmania University. She is presently pursuing Ph.D. from Osmania University. She has experience of teaching Political Science for more than 19 years. She had a teaching experience of 12 years at Sri Anantha Padmanabha Arts, Science & Commerce College, Vikarabad, taught Political Science to the Degree students. Later she served as a Degree Lecturer at Government Degree College for Women, Zaheerabad, Government Degree College, Malkajgiri, KRR Government Degree College, Kodad and at Tara Government Degree College (Autonomous), Sangareddy before she joined this Institution, she joined on 27-03-2019.

Is a faculty member in the Department of Political Science. She holds a Master’s Degree in Political Science from Osmania University, passed UGC National Eligibility Test in the year 2009. She has an experience of teaching Political Science for the past 2 years in this Institution, she joined on 08-04-2019.

Mrs. Soujanya

Soujanya holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Koti Women’s College and a Master’s degree in Psychology from Osmania University. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Psychology and has qualified the State Eligibility Test (SET) in 2017 and GATE in 2021, demonstrating her academic proficiency. Soujanya has practical experience as a psychologist at Sailaja Pisapati Mental Health Centre, where she worked for one year providing psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions. Additionally, she worked as a psychological counselor at Tech Mahindra for three years, offering specialized emotional support and counseling for cancer patients, focusing on their mental health and overall well-being.
